Will Prince George change schools? According to the Daily Mail, it would seem so. Currently enrolled at Thomas’s Battersea School in London, the eldest son of the Cambridge couple is expected to start the new school year in a brand new establishment. If Kate Middleton and her husband are considering several schools, including Ludgrove, where Princes William and Harry went, Lambrook is the favorite.
This private preparatory school is located in Berkshire (UK), near the town of Ascot. The Duke and Duchess are said to be finalizing arrangements to transfer Prince George there in September 2022. Lambrook students typically attend many prestigious state schools, including Eton, the college attended by Princes Harry and William.
Although George, who will be nine in July 2022, is very happy at Thomas’s School in London, his parents think it’s time for him to transfer to a school outside the city, where all facilities are on one campus, the Daily Mail has learned from several well-placed sources. Six-year-old Princess Charlotte, meanwhile, is more likely to stay at Thomas’s Battersea for now, where she is “super happy and settled.” She is expected to be joined by her little brother, Prince Louis, who will turn four in the spring.
A new school… and a move?
According to the Daily Mail, Kate and William are also reportedly eyeing up properties in the Windsor area – after looking at several potential family homes on the Queen’s Berkshire estate – with a view to living in the Royal Borough during weekends and vacations. However, Kensington Palace in London, where they live in Apartment 1A and where their offices and foundation are located, is expected to remain their weekday residence.
