Charlene of Monaco interned: This case that she followed closely and which takes a happy turn

From her care center in Switzerland, Charlene of Monaco is delighted with a good news announced on March 2, 2022. The son of her friend Goodwill Zwelithini finally acceded to the throne.

The end of the suspense greatly relieves Charlene of Monaco, 44 years. The wife of Prince Albert II of Monaco, 63 years old, still interned in Switzerland, is a close friend of the Zulu king Goodwill Zwelithini. The latter died suddenly at the age of 72 last year. His son, Prince Misuzulu Zulu, 47, is officially designated as heir to the throne. The court in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, gave its verdict on the succession on Wednesday, March 2. “The Pietermaritzburg court has given its verdict in favor of the Zulu king,” reports Royal Stories. Prince Misuzulu Zulu’s takeover of the throne does not please everyone.

After 52 years of rule, Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini died in March 2021. Shiyiwe Mantfombi Dlamini took over the affairs of royalty, but it lasted only a month. At the age of 65, she also died suddenly, while leaving a will. “In her will, the queen had appointed as the new king of the Zulus their son, Prince Misuzulu Zulu,” says Gala magazine. The son of Charlene of Monaco’s friend, however, could not accede to the throne right away. Other descendants of King Goodwill Zwelithini opposed it.

The members of his family hindered the accession to the throne of the friend of Charlene of Monaco

At his death, the Zulu king left six widows and twenty-eight children. Two princesses, Ntandoyenkosi Zulu and Ntombizosuthu Zulu-Duma, felt they deserved their father’s throne. They also accused their half-brother Misuzulu Zulu of stealing their place. “They then filed a complaint in court with the intention of having their half-brother’s coronation banned,” Gala said. The Pietermaritzburg court also ruled on another case involving the assets of King Goodwill Zwelithini. His first wife, Queen Sibongile, sought half of all the king’s assets. She was unsuccessful in the court case, according to Royal Histories.
