Meghan Markle joins Prince Harry for the Invictus Games

It’s official, Meghan Markle will be with Prince Harry in the Netherlands on April 16 for a few days for the Invictus Games. However, it seems that the couple has no intention of stopping over in England to see Queen Elizabeth II.

From April 16 to 22 will take place the Invictus Games, created by Prince Harry in 2014. It is a major sporting event that highlights wounded soldiers and veterans of wars as well as people with disabilities. Of course, the younger brother of Prince William will be present at this edition, which has been postponed twice due to the health crisis and will be held in The Hague, Netherlands. He will come in the company of his wife, Meghan Markle, but already, the specialists of British Royalty speak of an affront that the couple will make to the Queen.

Indeed, as journalist Chris Ship indicates on his Twitter account, this Monday, April 11, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “will be back in Europe for the first time since they left the royal family.” A symbolic trip, therefore, for the parents of Archie and Lilibet Diana. Nevertheless, the princely couple would obviously not have the intention to take a plane to London after the Invictus Games, to join Queen Elizabeth II. What certainly distresses the grandmother of Prince Harry, who does not have much opportunity to see his grandson since he lives in the United States, and even less his two great-grandchildren. Moreover, for the time being, no information has been revealed about the presence, or not, of the two little ones of Meghan Markle and her husband at the Invictus Games.

Already one year since the last trip to England for Prince Harry

As a reminder, Prince Harry last visited England in April 2021, so a year ago, when his grandfather, Prince Philip, died and his funeral was held at Westminster Abbey. In addition, because of the health crisis making travel complicated, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have chosen to travel only to America and especially to New York, as last September for the Global Citizen Live charity concert.
