Prince Albert II: Without Princess Charlene of monaco but with Melanie-Antoinette to applaud the tennis stars

Tested positive to Covid-19 a week ago, Prince Albert II is now recovered and resumes the normal course of his agenda. He attended the final of the Masters 1000 tournament in Monte Carlo on Sunday 17 April without Charlene, who was back on the Rock for Easter.

Relief for the Monegasque royal family. On Wednesday 13 April, Prince Albert tested positive for Covid-19 for the second time and was consequently forced to stay in isolation. But on Sunday, April 17, the Palace of Monaco announced in a statement that His Royal Highness was out of the woods, diagnosed negative to a PCR test for Covid-19, as reported by Nice Matin. Without wasting time, the prince resumed official outings. This Easter weekend, he attended the final of the Monte Carlo Masters 1000 tournament held in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. At his side, Melanie-Antoinette de Massy, daughter of the late Elisabeth-Ann de Massy, cousin of Prince Albert.

The pair was photographed smiling in the stands, then went directly to the clay court to present the trophy to the winner of the day, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and salute his opponent, the Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. However, Charlene of Monaco did not give the public the honor of her great return to the stage on Sunday. But the brother of Stephanie of Monaco was in good company, Melanie-Antoinette having succeeded her late mother as president of the Monegasque Tennis Federation and the Monte-Carlo Country Club.

Charlene back for the holidays

While rumors said she took refuge in Corsica, the wife of Prince Albert II came out of the silence to celebrate with his family the Easter weekend on the Rock, as indicated by an Instagram post published by the princely palace on Sunday, April 17: “LL.AA.SS. Prince Albert and Princess Charlene wish you a very happy Easter.” Illustrating this reassuring message: a pretty family portrait revealing the South African surrounded by her companion and her two children ready to go on an egg hunt.
