In the pouring rain, they arrived at the La Fenice theater in Venice. Before entering the building, Beatrice and Pierre Casiraghi, well sheltered under their umbrella, take the pose in front of the photographers present that evening. Beatrice and Peter, a chic and glamorous couple

For this evening, the daughter-in-law of Princess Caroline of Hanover has chosen an elegant long dress of Gothic inspiration. The young woman is simply resplendent in this model designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri for the spring-summer 2018 Haute Couture collection of the prestigious French house.

Added to her outfit is a black cape tied around her neck and golden pendants with a green stone inside. As Beatrice turns to the photographers, one of her earrings comes off. To her great relief, this one is quickly found and is immediately returned to her.

As for her husband Pierre Casiraghi, a Dior ambassador like her, he wears a black velvet lapel suit from the Dior Hommes collection, a black knit tie and a white shirt.

The couple is all elegance for his first public appearance since last January. Indeed, it had not been seen since the Dior Haute Couture spring-summer 2022 show at Paris Fashion Week.

Venetian heritage and Ukraine at the heart of the Dior gala

By choosing a place as exceptional as La Fenice, the house wants to make its gala dinner an unforgettable moment, without neglecting the issues of the evening. As Women’s Wear Daily revealed on April 19, Dior has “become a donor for the 59th International Art Exhibition, which runs from April 23 to November 27, 2022. An edition curated by Cecilia Alemani, the first Italian woman to hold such a position. She is also a close friend of Pietro Beccari, the president and CEO of Christian Dior Couture, says WWD.

For the second time, the haute couture brand “is partnering with Venetian Heritage, a philanthropic organization dedicated to the restoration and preservation of Venice’s cultural treasures,” adds WWD. The goal is to raise funds to “help restore the Ca’ d’Oro Museum, one of the most beautiful palaces on the Grand Canal,” says Vanity Fair España. Ukrainians who have found refuge in Italy are also the beneficiaries of part of the money collected during this gala. Behind the beautiful dresses and apparent luxury, the house founded by Christian Dior does not forget the war that is hitting Eastern Europe.

A range of stars in Venice

In addition to the couple Casiraghi, many personalities are present at the Venice Opera. Among them, the French actress Catherine Deneuve made the trip. Scrupulously respecting the dress code imposed, the actress dressed in a black embroidered dress and a silk cape – the same color – Dior Haute Couture signed Maria Grazia Chiuri.
