It looks like all eyes are no longer on Meghan Markle. Princess Eugenie has announced her new project that is making her family proud.
Princess Eugenie has many strings to her bow, just like Meghan Markle. The youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and his wife Sarah Ferguson has decided to embark on a brand new project. This Wednesday, April 27, the sister of Beatrice of York announced some big news. She decided to launch a podcast, together with her friend Julia de Boinville, which she called Floodlight, the first episode being already online. During the ten episodes, which will air every Wednesday, Princess Eugenie and Julia de Boinville will talk to survivors of slavery as well as activists. Listeners will hear true stories from those fighting for change and a courageous and heartbreaking testimony from a survivor.
In this first episode, the two friends have a special guest in Caroline Haughey OBE QC. Caroline is a leading lawyer in the field of modern slavery and trafficking in the UK. Over the course of the program, Eugenie of York and her partner in this adventure will also be joined by Dame Emma Thompson, Wumi, a child labor survivor, and Ian Urbina, a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist who has reported extensively on modern slavery at sea, among many other guests.
Princess Eugenie supported by her family
This new project is the pride of her family. Indeed, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, the husband of Princess Beatrice, was keen to congratulate his sister-in-law. The father of two shared a photo of Eugenie and her friend Julia de Boinville and congratulated them both on the launch of their first podcast. The caption of the post also included a direct link to listen to the first episode. For now, the British royal family and its followers only have eyes for Princess Eugenie and her beautiful project. So Meghan Markle is likely to be overshadowed, until she finds a new passion to get people talking about her.
