Peter Phillips in couple: Who is Lindsay Wallace, the new companion of the grandson of Elizabeth II?

Peter Phillips, the Queen’s grandson, made his first public appearance with Lindsay Wallace, his new girlfriend, at the platinum jubilee given in honor of the 70th anniversary of Elizabeth II’s reign on Saturday, June 4.

Peter Phillips, the son of Princess Anne, made his official debut with Lindsay Wallace, his new girlfriend at the Epsom Derby, during the platinum jubilee ceremonies on the weekend of June 4 and 5, reports Vanity Fair. In a long-sleeved floral dress and under a white hat, Lindsay Wallace appeared smiling and very comfortable. The couple was then joined by her mother, Princess Anne, and her sister, Zara Tindall, accompanied by her husband Mike.

The public formalization of this relationship comes two years after the announcement of the divorce between Peter and Autumn Phillips, with whom the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II was married since 2008. Daughter of an oil tycoon, Lindsay Wallace is a school friend of her sister Zara, whom she met when she was studying in Gordonstoun, Aberdeenshire.

A successful presentation to the royal family

A year after his divorce, pronounced in June 2021, the queen’s grandson, Peter Phillips, has begun a new chapter in his life with Lindsay Wallace, whom he introduced to Elizabeth II last January. A source close to the royal family told The Sun that “the Queen is one of the most important people in Peter’s life, so it is normal that he introduces Lindsay to her. The meeting was very warm and the queen was obviously delighted to meet someone who makes Peter so happy.” Only shadow in the picture of this new happiness displayed, if Linday Wallace is separated from her husband Andrew, the couple is not yet divorced, says the Daily Mail in its columns.

This is why last March, Peter had first denied being in a relationship. A close friend of Peter told the Daily Mail that Anne’s son: “was very much in love with his girlfriend and that he had started their relationship after the breakup of their respective marriages.” He had also introduced, Lindsay Wallace, to the queen, on the occasion of a hunting party organized in Windsor.

If Elizabeth II did not attend the Epsom Derby, Lindsay Wallace spent the day in the company of Peter and his two daughters Isla and Savannah, born from his union with Autumn Phillips. The two girls were photographed playing with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
