Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella of Monaco started the second year of elementary school at François d’Assise-Nicolas Barré. Although the children blended in with their classmates, all wearing red polo shirts with the school logo, the presence of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene did not go unnoticed this Monday, September 5.
Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella go back to school
This Monday, September 5, 2022, the time of the return to school rang for the hereditary prince Jacques and the princess Gabriella of Monaco. The 7 year old twins of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene started their second year of primary school at the private school François d’Assise-Nicolas Barré (FANB). The FANB institution was created by the merger of private Catholic schools in the Principality of Monaco.
The image of parents, almost like any other parents, taking their children to school on the first day of the school year was much anticipated. Last year at this time, Princess Charlene was absent, still stuck in South Africa for health reasons. The health crisis had also completely disrupted the school year of the twins.

Histoires Royales revealed in a world exclusive, in October 2021, that hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella were no longer going to school, while just a month earlier, a photo shoot had been organized to stage the twins’ first day of school at the elementary school. In fact, a classroom had been set up in the palace, where they were taught in the presence of a few hand-picked friends. The information was confirmed a few weeks later by Prince Albert II, who justified this decision for logistical reasons linked to the health crisis.
It would seem that the Monegasque monarch felt that the conditions were right for his children to go to school again, which is located 300 meters from the Princely Palace. Jacques and Gabriella went back to school like all the other students on Monday. They wore the red uniform of the school and Princess Gabriella wore a headband of cat ears on her head. The Marquis des Baux and the Countess of Carladès had the right to a small hair catch-up before the return to school. During the weekend, the princess Gabriella played to the apprentice hairdresser by cutting her hair and the hair of her brother.
