This Monday, September 12, Charlene and Albert II of Monaco left the Rock to support the animal cause. On a trip to Peille this Monday, September 12, a charming French town located in the department of Alpes-Maritimes, the couple laid the foundation stone of the future shelter of the Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA) of Monaco. “Congratulations to our prince and princess…” commented an Internet user in front of the multiple shots of this day published by an Instagram account fan of the Monegasque family. But the web was also surprised by a gesture of affection from Grace Kelly’s son to his wife: a tender kiss placed on the cheek of the former Olympic swimmer.

Such complicity between the two members of the royal family had already been observed some time ago at a prestigious event. After several months of absence, Princess Charlene made her comeback on Monday, July 18, in one of the most scrutinized events of the Monegasque life: the Red Cross gala. In an elegant silver dress signed Prada and adorned with jewels Van Cleef, the mother of Gabriella Thérèse Marie and Jacques Honoré Rainier signed a remarkable appearance on the arm of her husband, to the delight of the onlookers of the photographers who came in number that day.

Prince Albert of Monaco marked by the absence of his wife

Forced to stay long months in South Africa, then in Switzerland, Charlene of Monaco is recovering little by little from the heavy ENT infection that kept her away from the Rock and his family. “It has been an ordeal! An ordeal for my wife, especially, who suffered a lot and lived difficult moments, far from her family. A trial also for our children and for myself. We have missed the princess very much,” said her husband in the columns of the JDD, last June. And he continued, deploring the gossip about his couple during this delicate period: “We were obviously hurt by the malicious rumors that were spread. But we knew how to stay united despite the distance, we talked a lot.”
