Doria Ragland: How did she meet Meghan Markle’s father?

Last September 2, Doria Ragland celebrates her 62nd birthday. Known to play a decisive role with her daughter Meghan Markle, as well as her son-in-law Harry, we know little about her love life. Moreover, when did she meet Thomas Markle?

Doria Ragland is a woman that could be described as complex. Known to be very close to her daughter Meghan Markle, she manages to remain discreet and to keep a good distance from the tabloids. If the role she plays in the life of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex questions more than one, Doria Ragland, who celebrates her 62nd birthday this Friday, September 2, is not really the type to reveal herself. About the meeting between her parents, Meghan Markle for her part said, “I like to think he (her father, ed.) was attracted to her soft eyes and her afro, as well as their shared love of antiques,” the wife of Prince Harry confided during an interview with ELLE in 2016.

Their divorce was, in turn, only pronounced in 1987. “It went well for a while, but I wasn’t home enough (…) Doria also had other interests. What was happening in that house at that time did not make me happy,” explained the one who had already been married once, in the documentary Thomas Markle: My Story aired on Channel 5. Meghan Markle, who was six years old at the time, then had to play mediator. “Like many children of divorced parents, she learned to become a skilled diplomat, mediating between warring parties,” analyzed English journalist Andrew Morton, according to comments reported by CheatSheet. Following their breakup, Meghan Markle went to live with her mother, but continued to see her father. Until their relationship seriously deteriorated …
