Carolina and Chiara of Bourbon-Siciles run for the good cause in front of Prince Albert II

Prince Albert II kicked off an important charity event this Saturday, November 12 in Monaco. And he was in good company as Carolina and Chiara de Bourbon-Siciles ran for a good cause.

The Principality of Monaco and Prince Albert II organize since this Saturday, November 12, and until the 20th, the 23rd edition of the race “No Finish Line”. This charity event for the benefit of children takes place during eight days. The goal? Runners, but also walkers of all ages, alone or in teams, cover as many kilometers as possible on the 1.4 kilometer circuit set up around the Fontvieille marquee, in order to raise money.

To promote this race, which brings together more than 10,000 participants, the daughters of the Duke of Castro, Carolina and Chiara de Bourbon-Siciles, were present, dressed from head to toe in the colors of the principality, in white and red. Carolina and Chiara, aged 19 and 17 respectively, ran in front of Prince Albert II, who kicked off the event in the company of Yakuba Ouattara, basketball player of the Monegasque team and sponsor of the 2022 edition, but also of Ariane Favaloro, the organizer of the event.

Inseparable sisters

Princesses Carolina and Chiara, who are only a year and a half apart, have been inseparable since their birth. They live between Rome, Monaco and Paris. Since their childhood, the girls have participated in the numerous events organized in Monaco, such as the traditional Monegasque Christmas bath. And they don’t hesitate to put on their sports clothes when needed, like for this race. Carolina is also very involved in the charitable associations of the Constantinian Order of Saint George, of which her father is the current Grand Master.

Each year, the money collected is donated to Monegasque associations to support various projects for disadvantaged or sick children. One kilometer run equals one euro donated to the organizers. Thanks to a chip worn around the neck of the runners, the kilometers run can be counted. For this new edition, the objective is to reach between 400 000 and 450 000 kilometers.
