Princess Anne: Her reaction to her son-in-law Mike Tindall in a reality show

Mike Tindall is currently participating in a reality show in Australia. If Zara’s husband has not yet revealed anything embarrassing for the Crown, the reaction of his mother-in-law, Princess Anne, is clear.

Since November 7, he has been participating in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! a famous reality TV program. Mike Tindall, Princess Anne’s son-in-law, is the first member of the Firm to join this type of show. By agreeing to compete without asking permission from King Charles III, the former England rugby international has embarrassed the palace. If he has not made any embarrassing revelations for the moment, only mentioning his first “drunken” date with his future wife Zara, he is still in the competition and Buckingham Palace remains on its guard.

Regarding how Princess Anne views her son-in-law’s participation in the reality show, royal expert Katie Nicholl told The Royal Beat, “Knowing Princess Anne, the idea of her sitting around, cheering for Mike, is absolutely unthinkable,” she explained, before adding that she rather thought she must be thinking, “What the hell is he doing?” So is the rest of the royal family, the expert said, The Mirror reported on Friday, November 11.

Did Mike Tindall wait for the Queen’s death?

Katie Nicholl said that eventually things would have been different if Queen Elizabeth II was still alive: “One wonders, knowing how close Zara was to her grandmother, if she could have had a conversation with her [about her husband’s involvement, editor’s note] saying, ‘Grandma, just so you know…’ I’m leaning toward no.” As for the idea that they talked about it with Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, the answer is unequivocal: “No!”

Since the beginning of his adventure, Mike Tindall has shown “a very sensitive side,” quite different from what the public may think of a former rugby player, explained Russell Myers, an expert on the royal family to the Mirror. “I think he’s going to go pretty far,” he said. As long as he doesn’t reveal any particular secret, the appearance of Princess Anne’s son-in-law on the reality show shouldn’t bother the royal family much.
