According to the Mirror, King Charles III and his wife Camilla would have new very famous neighbors in London. It is a couple of American actors who were looking for “a base” in the British capital.
From May 6 to 8 will take place the coronation of Charles III. On the program: three days of festivities in London and throughout the United Kingdom which his wife, Camilla, the royal family and all Britons will attend. Although he has not yet been officially crowned, the king already resides at Buckingham Palace since the death of his mother, Elizabeth II, last September. And he would now have very famous neighbors! Indeed, as reported by Hello! magazine, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas would have moved into an apartment in St. James’s Palace, located a stone’s throw from the royal residence in London.
Home to several members of the royal family, including Princess Anne, the younger sister of King Charles, St. James Palace has also been home to Princes William and Harry, who spent part of their childhood at York House, which is located within the palace grounds. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas’ new apartment in the royal residence is a rather exclusive investment, the Mirror assures. If the properties at St James’ Palace are available for rent to the public, it is likely that the background and financial criteria of potential tenants will be extensively checked and monitored.
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas: their extensive property holdings
According to our colleagues, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas wanted to have “a base” in the British capital. This apartment, which they rent, is far from being their first real estate investment. The Ant-Man actor and the Wednesday star also own a lavish property in Wales and a ten-bedroom vacation home in Mallorca. But it’s in their sprawling $4.7 million home in Westchester, New York, that the couple spends most of their time with their two children, Dylan and Carys. It was Catherine Zeta-Jones who bought it for £3.6 million ($4.5 million) in 2019.
