King Charles III: this camouflet inflicted on Prince Harry

It is official! Camilla will now be known as Queen and not Queen Consort. A strong symbolism for the one who has long been hated by the British. The result of a long fight for Charles III, which should not please his youngest son … Explanations.

It was a very expected news. It is now official. Camilla, the wife of Charles III, known as Queen Consort, will become Queen Camilla. A small change so symbolic a few days before the coronation that will be held in Westminster Abbey in London on May 6. Buckingham Palace revealed the news this Tuesday, April 4, sharing an image of the invitation to the coronation, where we can see written: “The coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla”.

The one who was once considered the most hated woman in Britain after the tragic death of Princess Diana in August 1997 comes back from a long way. Slowly but surely, she knew how to make a place for herself within the royal family and in the hearts of the English. A rise that she owes to her longtime love, Charles III, who used to speak of her as a “non-negotiable part” of his life. A strong message sent to the detractors of his wife but also and especially to Prince Harry, who openly criticized his mother-in-law during the promotion of his memoirs Spare last January, and explained how he was against the remarriage of his father.

Charles III: Prince Harry crossed the red line

“It certainly sends a message to Harry and everyone else that Camilla is firmly at the top of the pecking order,” royal writer Phil Dampier points out to the MailOnline. Just before her platinum jubilee, Elizabeth II led the way in February 2022, knighting Camilla as the future queen consort. “The king will no doubt have been outraged by Harry’s recent attack on her in an interview to promote his memoir Spare, declaring her to be ‘dangerous’, citing as the reason ‘the need to rehabilitate her image’,” adds royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams.

Thus Charles III assures her more than ever of his support, and turns his back on his youngest son. Since the explosive revelations of Prince Harry, relations between the father and his younger son are icy. If he invited him to his coronation on May 6, he did not deign to give him time during his surprise visit to London. Charles III had warned: to attack his wife Camilla was to cross the red line …
