Princess Eugenie of York and her husband Jack Brooksbank have welcomed their second child. The baby boy is Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank. The delighted daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson announced the news on Instagram on 30 May. Eugenie of York is very close to the Duke of Sussex. Prince Harry is currently spending a few days in London. Could he have made the acquaintance of her grand-cousin?
Eugenie of York is one of the few members of the British royal family to have been spared in the Duke of Sussex’s autobiography, published on 10 January. Her surname is only mentioned 12 times in Spare. King Charles III, Prince William and Princess of Wales were also widely criticised in the book.
A trial underway in London
The Duke of Sussex has been in London since Sunday 4 June 2023. He left (temporarily) the United States (where he lives with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Archie and Lilibet), to attend the trial against Mirror Group Newspapers, according to Europe 1. The trial began on Monday 5 June and is taking place at the High Court in London.
As a reminder, Prince Harry has taken the media group to court. He suspects it of having used illegal methods to obtain information about his private life. According to several newspapers, the events took place between 1995 and 2001. The Duke of Sussex was absent from the trial on Monday 5 June due to logistical problems and a security breach, according to Europe 1, but is expected to be present for the next few days.
