Thirty-three per cent of Britons expressed a favourable opinion of Charles III’s wife and her role in the monarchy, while 30 per cent gave an unfavourable response. Given the content of Diana Spencer’s younger son’s remarks against her, these results are a boost for William and Harry‘s mother-in-law.
However, among English people aged 18 to 24, Camilla’s popularity rating is -20, while among those over 65, it is +18. These results are significant of a change far from being insignificant in British society. While the people who knew her best are more likely to feel resentment towards her affair with the future monarch, who was married to the late Princess Diana at the time of the events, they now seem to have given up. It must be said that over the past decade, the former great rival of Lady Di has shown herself worthy of the Firm, remaining relatively discreet and supporting her husband.
