King Charles III has not forgotten the difficult month of January he spent trying not to hear the anecdotes straight out of Prince Harry‘s autobiography. According to The Express, on 19 October 2023, he still hasn’t digested it.
Nothing is forgotten. Nine months after the publication of his eventful book, one might have thought that Prince Harry would have renewed his relationship with his father, who seems so favourable to his youngest son’s return to the Firm, extending olive branches to him whenever he can. Not so, according to biographer and historian Tom Quinn. He told The Express that according to his sources at the Palace, “in private, there is much more anger than in public”.
After the revelation of certain private anecdotes, the exposure of his rivalry with his brother William, and the bad comments about Camilla, King Charles III certainly seems inclined to reconcile with his son in order to keep the family together, but he is still very angry and shocked. The monarch is reportedly not at all happy about the publication of all Prince Harry‘s private memorabilia. Having apparently decided to find a house in the UK, Prince Harry could take this opportunity to explain himself to his father.
Prince Harry still wants to be closer to London
While Meghan Markle doesn’t seem too keen on the idea of moving to England, this project is mainly wanted by Prince Harry. In an interview with the media outlet OK!, a close friend of Meghan and Harry revealed that this decision has caused some tension in the couple: “There is disagreement between the couple on this issue but they will soon start looking for their own property near London and Harry is largely at the helm of this,” revealed the source.
But why the homecoming? According to the Mirror, royal expert Duncan Larcombe advised Prince Harry to return to England for the sake of his children: they “will grow up without knowing their cousins, aunts or uncles, or any of their family”, explained the expert. It has to be said that since they have been living in Montecito, California, Archie and Lilibet only have their grandmother Doria Ragland, as Meghan no longer has any contact with the rest of her family.
