About to drop on the British royal palace? Behind the scenes at Buckingham, there are whispers that Meghan Markle is about to add fuel to the fire of royal conflict that has been raging in recent years. Rumour has it that Prince Harry‘s wife is about to rock the Royal palace. The reason? Meghan’s memoirs. Mere speculation or a project in progress, the book in question could well cause havoc in the royal quarters. And with good reason, according to esteemed journalist Tom Bower, the Duchess of Sussex’s autobiography is said to be incriminating. Her main victim? Princess of Wales. The book could make the former actress “an enormous amount of money.
More powerful” than Harry’s book Spare, Meghan Markle‘s autobiography could well chronicle her arrival in the royal family, and how she was treated. And according to author Angela Levin, Harry’s family would have plenty to tremble about.
According to royal commentator Phil Dampier, it’s the Princess of Wales who’s in the former Suits star’s sights. “If Spare was a bestseller, it’s likely that Meghan‘s memoir would sell even better,” he said. According to him, the book would be an opportunity for Archie and Lilibet’s mum to tell her side of the story, particularly about her relationship with Princess of Wales in the run-up to the wedding, when each “allegedly made the other cry”.
I doubt William and Princess of Wales will ever speak to Prince Harry again
Phil Dampier added that upon joining the family, Meghan Markle certainly expected to be considered on a par with William and Princess of Wales, and not relegated to second couple status. “She will certainly bring up the comparisons that have been made between them in the press,” he concluded.
According to the commentator, this could only worsen the already fractious relationship between the couple and the royal family, even if the latter “won’t retaliate”. “It could mean the end of any hope of reconciliation,” he confided before adding: “It would be the last straw and I doubt William and Princess of Wales will ever speak to Harry again.”
As a last hope that the book won’t appear, Phil Damier sees only Princess Eugenie, with whom Meghan and Harry have kept in touch. According to him, she is the only one who could dissuade them from releasing the book. The other reason that would push the Duchess of Sussex to release her memoirs, apart from giving her version of events, would be a lack of money. Now that the couple have lost their contract with Spotify, a big income would be welcome, according to Phil Damier.
