This Wednesday, March 29, around noon, the sovereign landed in Berlin in the company of his wife, Queen Consort Camilla Parker Bowles. And once arrived in the capital, the royal couple was assailed by photographers. However, this horde of paparazzi was not the only one who wanted to immortalize the arrival of the monarch. Among the crowd that came to cheer him, a little girl drew her camera to capture a shot of the father of princes Harry and William. And to get her way, the little girl did not hesitate to call out to the son of the late Queen Elizabeth II, as revealed by royal expert Rebecca English on her Twitter account.
As she pointed her lens at King Charles III, Hadley Drake “firmly” asked him not to run away so she could take her picture. “Wait! Wait!” the eight-year-old can be heard admonishing the 74-year-old monarch. “The young British girl told the monarch that she wanted to get a better picture of him,” said the Daily mail reporter in her Twitt. And against all odds, the one who will be crowned king on May 6 willingly lent himself to the game of this impromptu photo session. From then on, a large smile was drawn on the face of the young lady. While Hadley Drake was shooting the king, the press photographers had to wait their turn to capture a shot of the monarch. One thing is sure, from her young age, the girl did not lack panache to get what she wanted from Charles III.
Charles III “very sad” after the cancellation of his trip to France
The warm welcome of the girl certainly comforted King Charles III. And for good reason, the latter was looking forward to coming to France and discovering the Palace of Versailles. Indeed, the sovereign expressed his immense regret to our colleagues of BFMTB present during his trip to Germany. “It is very sad,” said the husband of Camilla Parker Bowles. A confidence that indicates that the sovereign is visibly disappointed not to have had the opportunity to meet the French.
With the coronation approaching, it is unlikely that Charles III will return to French soil before this ceremony. However, according to the latest information revealed by Buckingham Palace on the subject, the couple is already waiting – impatiently – for a new opportunity to come to France. “As soon as new dates can be found”, we could discover.
