After issuing an eviction notice against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from their Frogmore Cottage residence, unveiled to the public this Wednesday, March 1, King Charles III reportedly asked his brother, Prince Andrew, to occupy the residence in their place. An evil for a good for the Duke of York?
This proves the good strategic mind of the king! While the Coronation ceremony of Charles III approaches a little more each day, this Wednesday, March 1, the British dailies The Sun and The Telegraph relayed an “eviction notice” issued by Buckingham Palace against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. A news that, without looking like it, could prove to be a good omen for Prince Andrew.
Also threatened with eviction, following the sexual scandals in which he is involved, the little brother of Charles III fears that sooner or later he will be removed from the British royal family. Following the decision on Frogmore Cottage, according to an article in the Daily Mail this Wednesday, March 1, the king would have asked his younger brother to prepare to move from the Royal Lodge estate to occupy the former apartments of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
A decision that does not delight the Duke of York, Frogmore Cottage is less spacious than his current residence, but still means that the English monarch does not intend -for now- to remove his brother from the monarchy. For lack of thrushes, Prince Andrew will have to be satisfied with blackbirds.
Harry and Meghan: why this decision of the king?
With this decision, the king kills two birds with one stone and brings order to his family. The princely couple of Sussex in addition to being evicted, is ordered to leave the residence within the estate of Windsor and to arrange the removal of their property from the home before this summer. Although settled in the United States, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle still had the option of staying at the house during their stays in the United Kingdom, a privilege now revoked by King Charles III.
The king’s choice was reportedly made in response to the publication of Prince Harry‘s memoir, “The Spare,” earlier this year. Having failed to award the Royal couple another home following the revocation, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now without a home in the UK.
