As the coronation of King Charles III approaches on May 6, there will be a number of critical issues on the agenda. There are three major issues that the king will have to deal with.
The first major concern focuses on the presence of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
The second concern is related to Prince Andrew
The third concern is centered on the multiplication of anti-monarchy demonstrations
There are only a few weeks left before one of the biggest events in history: the coronation of King Charles III! Note that this event will take place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey in London. Two days of celebrations will follow the coronation including a star-studded concert at Windsor Castle. Many sub-events will mark the coronation day. These include the many processions, the solemn and religious coronation ceremony and the appearance of the royals on the balcony. Although the date is fast approaching, there are still many issues that need to be resolved before the big weekend.
The first question focuses on the possible presence of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Let’s remember that the Sussexes have made a lot of talk about them, especially in recent months. The couple had greatly criticized the monarchy. Moreover, Prince Harry, 38, had even accused his father of lying at the Sandringham summit in January 2020. Let’s also add the numerous attacks of his book Spare. The other major problem that could overshadow the coronation is related to Prince Andrew. According to Mirror, the woman who accused the Duke of York, Virginia Giuffre, could come out with a memoir. This is a book that took 12 years to write. The release of the book could even coincide with the coronation.
Coronation Charles III: the anti-monarchy demonstrations
Problems outside the family also add to the list of problems to be addressed with the coronation of King Charles III. This is the increase in anti-monarchy demonstrations. Recently, the campaign group Republic attempted to turn Buckingham Palace into a polling station. In addition, the group, which advocates for an elected head of state, would like to organize consistent actions on the day of the coronation itself. The same group describes the coronation as a waste of taxpayers’ money.
