Prince Harry and Meghan Markle out: What do Brits think of King Charles III’s decision?

According to a poll conducted by OnePoll and reported by the Daily Star, one in three Britons support Charles III’s decision to evict Harry and Meghan from Frogmore Cottage, their Berkshire home.

Charles III recently made the decision to evict Harry and Meghan from their home at Frogmore Cottage. A poll conducted by OnePoll, relayed on March 3 by the Daily Star, reveals that 33% of Britons believe that this decision is “completely fair”. Also, 60% think that Sussex will use the “eviction to try to win public sympathy”. In addition, a majority oppose Prince Andrew’s relocation to Frogmore Cottage.

“It would seem that Harry and Meghan‘s relationship with [the British people] is as strained as that with the Royal family,” analyzed a spokesman for OnePoll. According to this expert, “the couple now has their base in Los Angeles, so it could be that the Royal family is just trying to reallocate that space to someone who will use it more.” For now, the “real motivations” of the Palace are not known.

Almost non-existent relations

Relations between the Sussexes and the British Royal family have been almost non-existent since the publication of Prince Harry‘s memoirs last January. The aforementioned expert said, “Most people’s family dramas are not played out on the front pages of the world’s newspapers. […] As a result, everything Harry and Meghan do is under the public microscope.” Thus, the study shows that “many adults side with the monarchy,” while acknowledging that the Windsors “have their own interests as well.”
