Exclusive: What The Queen Consort secretly went through – a major medical operation revealed!”

With its interview with the former doctor of surgery and gynaecology of the British royal family on Saturday 8 April, the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph has highlighted a little-known and forgotten event in the life of Camilla Parker Bowles: the surgery she underwent in 2007.

It is a part of the Queen Consort’s life that had almost been forgotten. This Saturday 8 April, the British tabloid The Daily Telegraph published a very long portrait and interview on the career of Sir Marcus Setchell, a doctor of surgery and gynaecology dedicated to the British royal family for 23 years, from 1990 to 2013.

In the interview, the doctor recalled the many births he has attended within the British Royal Family, stressing in particular that he wished that his last one was Prince George’s, to have the privilege of delivering a future reigning monarch. Although he did not wish to comment on the health of Queen Elizabeth II during his time at her side, he did recall having been the leader of the medical care for the ectopic pregnancy of the Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie of Wessex, during the birth of Lady Louise, or the hysterectomy of the then Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker Bowles, in 2007.

While it was long believed that the reasons for the surgery were due to a cancer that the Firm was trying to hide, there was no indication of the exact reasons why the removal took place. The Monarchy was cautious and reassuring shortly after the operation, but Charles’ wife was still in pain in the weeks following the operation, so much so that the man who is to be crowned on 6 May was bending over backwards to accommodate his partner’s every request in the hope of helping her get better. Eventually, Camilla Parker Bowles gradually recovered to the day when she and her husband will be crowned Queen in the very near future.

Queen Camilla: this specific request she wanted for her coronation

As the Coronation approaches, the Queen Consort is also preparing for her big day. For some time now, Camilla Parker Bowles has favoured the colour blue for her official outings, and she has made a few requests for the ceremony, including that her grandsons play a role during her performance.

These requests have been granted and will be taken into account for the ceremony on 6 May. While the Queen Consort’s grandchildren have so far been rather remote from the attention of journalists, Gus, Louis and Freddy will be entering the media arena through the biggest of doors very soon!
