This Saturday 6 May will remain engraved in the memory of all Britons. The coronation of Charles III currently brings together almost the entire royal family in Westminster Abbey. But while the emotion and joy prevail in the assembly, the brothers William and Harry seem more distant than ever…
Two hours will not be enough to reconcile Princes William and Harry. Both present at Westminster Abbey for the coronation of their father, Charles III, this Saturday 6 May, the brothers did not say a word to each other. Arriving alone in London this Friday in all discretion by a commercial flight, Meghan Markle’s husband made his entrance into the church alongside his few allies within the Windsor clan. Namely Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and the latter’s husband Jack Brooksbank.
William arrived at Westminster with his wife at the same time as the monarch and Queen Camilla, and did not look at his younger son, who was seated in the third row of the abbey. The difference in attitude between the two brothers was obvious: while the Duke of Sussex appeared relatively relaxed, even exchanging a few laughs with Eugenie’s husband when they were seated, the Prince of Wales was extremely solemn and did not let anything show until he kissed his father on the cheek after his official coronation. It was an emotional moment as William pledged allegiance to his sovereign, hand in hand, before touching the imposing St Edward’s crown.
We know Prince Harry’s departure time for Montecito!
Harry will not linger in London: according to Page Six, published on 5 May, Archie and Lilibet Diana’s father will fly back to Montecito, his place of residence in the United States, two hours after the ceremony, around 3pm local time. Meghan Markle, who remained in the US, decided to decline the invitation to stay with her children and her mother Doria Ragland. And for good reason, her eldest son celebrates his 4th birthday on the same date! “Harry will do everything he can to get home in time for Archie’s birthday,” an insider told Page Six.
