While Prince Harry is in London to attend the trial against Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN), he may not bump into his father. On his return from a holiday in Romania, Charles III is once again likely to avoid him, reports L’Express.
A reunion is not imminent. On his return from his trip to Romania, Charles III may not see Prince Harry again any time soon. And with good reason. While father and son are both in London, there is no indication that a meeting is planned, reports L’Express. Already during his express visit to the British capital last March, the Duke of Sussex had not seen his father. Later, he did not get the private interview he had so much requested from his father before his coronation, celebrated on 6 May.
Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left their royal duties, the Duke of Sussex has spent very little time with his father. Added to this, the numerous revelations made by the couple in the media, their documentary series on Netflix and William’s younger brother’s memoirs. While no member of The Firm has reacted publicly, tensions are palpable within the Windsor clan.
Will Prince Harry meet Eugenie of York’s newborn son?
Prince Harry has been in London since the beginning of June to attend the trial against Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN). Along with six other celebrities, including Elton John, he is accusing the publisher of using illegal methods to obtain information about his private life and that of those close to him. The lawsuit has been launched to “save journalism as a profession”, as he says he is exasperated by “the state of our press”.
Failing to spend time with his father and brother Prince William, Prince Harry could take advantage of his stay in London to meet Ernest, Eugenie of York’s newborn son. Having remained close to his cousin, they appeared as accomplices at the coronation of Charles III. As our colleagues in Hello! magazine point out, any visit would remain “private”, as Archie and Lilibet’s father “rarely shares personal photos”.
