In his new book Endgame, Omid Scobie, has made revelations about the Sussexes. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly still affected by the way Charles III awarded the titles of prince and princess to their children Archie and Lilibet. Explanation.
The pill is not going down. The end of November 2023 saw the publication of Endgame in the English-speaking literary world. This open criticism of the monarchy, written by Omid Scobie, a journalist with close ties to the Sussex family, caused quite a stir among fans of the British royal family.
The book says that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are “truly happy” in their new life in California. But the royals, who have moved across the Atlantic, remain hurt by the row over the titles of their children, Archie, four, and Lilibet, two. “They are still hurt by the fact that it took several months for their children’s titles to be updated to ‘prince’ and ‘princess’,” the book reads. According to royal convention, says Omid Scobie, the titles of the Sussex children should have been automatically updated when King Charles ascended the throne. Instead, it took six months before Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet saw their titles updated on the Buckingham Palace website. According to Omid Scobie, quoted in the Daily Mail, King Charles III deliberately avoided the subject after his coronation.

The Duchess of Sussex doesn’t hold grudges. In his book Endgame, Omid Scobie also revealed that Prince Harry‘s wife continues to communicate with her in-laws. “I was surprised to learn that Meghan has some sort of correspondence with Charles. She sends him photos of the children, even if they are not directly addressed to King Charles,” reads the book, which was published at the end of November. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have very little connection with the British royal family. While the former was born there, his little sister has only been to England once. On 6 May this year, they were the big absentees at their grandfather’s coronation festivities with their mother Meghan Markle.
